OEM and ODM Solar Umbrella Customization: What Buyers Can Specify
Commercial outdoor projects rarely have identical requirements. A hotel terrace, restaurant patio, retail program and private-label product line may need different dimensions, colors, materials and electronic functions. A structured OEM or ODM process turns those requirements into a manufacturable solar umbrella specification.
Canopy size and structure
Solargy’s standard product configuration is 3 × 3 meters. Depending on the model and project, 2.5 × 2.5 meter, 3 × 4 meter and other custom dimensions can also be discussed. Column, support arm and rib specifications are selected to match the canopy and intended application.
Fabric weight, coating and color
The latest catalog specifies 250g color-woven fabric for ZL01-90, ZL02-90, ZL03-100, ZL04-90 and ZL01P-90. The larger ZL01-105 uses 300g premium color-woven fabric. These fabrics include a waterproof coating and European level 6 or US level 4 colorfastness performance as specified in the catalog.
Common canopy colors include sky blue, dark green, burgundy, off-white and khaki. Other colors can be developed when the project meets the required minimum order quantity and additional processing requirements.
Frame appearance and finish
ZL01-90, ZL02-90 and ZL03-100 use aluminum structures with steel ribs and a coated surface treatment. ZL04-90, ZL01-105 and ZL01P-90 are all-aluminum platforms with anodized finishes. A wood-grain appearance is used on the larger ZL01-105 Roman umbrella. Finish selection should consider the surrounding architecture, brand identity and expected environment.
Solar and electronic configuration
- 20W photovoltaic modules for ZL02-90, ZL03-100 and ZL04-90.
- A 40W photovoltaic module for ZL01-105.
- 10,000mAh or 20,000mAh batteries, depending on the model.
- Central lighting, 30W fan and panoramic rib lighting options.
- Bluetooth audio and USB output on configured smart models.
- Optional solar power and central lighting can be discussed for ZL01P-90.
Packaging and after-sales planning
Packaging dimensions and weights vary by model, so logistics should be reviewed early in the project. Electrical function components are designed to be removable and replaceable, and spare parts can be supplied separately during the product life cycle. The standard catalog warranty covers product-related defects for one year, subject to the stated use and weather exclusions.
Begin with a clear project brief
Useful information includes target market, installation environment, canopy size, expected daily use, required electronic functions, colors, branding, order quantity and delivery destination. Solargy’s engineering and production teams can then evaluate structural, electrical and manufacturing requirements as one coordinated solution.
